I love cereal! If you house the same species of eater known as ‘teenager’ in your home like I do, you know a box of cereal has a lifespan of 30-60 minutes. So cut back on the sugary brands and stock up on healthful brands so kids get that much-needed nutrition. Here are a few I buy and the kids enjoy:
Bear Naked; These nutrient dense cereals are all-natural and are a favorite in my house.
Mom’s Best Naturals; Some are high in sugar and the younger ones love these. The whole grains help make up for the sweetness.
Barbara’s Bakery; with just-right sweetness, the Puffin Multigrain is low in calories yet high in fiber and vitamins.
Quaker Oatmeal Squares; Hands down my favorite. I enjoy them even more without the milk. These have all the fiber of regular oatmeal and are good sources of calcium and other nutrients.
Kashi Go Lean; Seven whole grains make up this mix of wildly different shapes and textures. And it’s rich in fiber and protein.
